China. Differences between parasitic and symbiotic relationships

Last week China following the issue has generated intense debate in Comment post anterior and various contacts of fans who have seen fit to share with me their views, which I am grateful to all of you.

Some critics are you, other more conciliatory about the change of era we are living, but just leaves you numb.

Since the subject interests of both, I plan to delve into various approaches through my business experiences, contacts with Chinese colleagues, some real case studies with peers from other companies and what they have learned through reading the three books that I recommended in the post anterior.

First of all I would like to clarify that my comments are not intended to position myself fanatically against the unstoppable conquest of China. They, the Chinese, are playing the game as best they know, and are not only cattle but there seems no other outcome than his final victory. They are doing it quietly and efficiently. From this point of view the most practical would be to recommend to our young people to learn Chinese than English as soon as possible.

What I do not quite fully understand, is the abandonment of the Western World, mainly in Europe, to this parasite invasion, asymmetric and unfair. Additional to the euro crisis is adding to relinquish political progress, social and economic development of the Republic of China.

As stated in the documentary that I attached below "there is no stopping it”

That said, the first thing I want to point out today is that the definition of Julián Pavón Chinese parasitic model is based on the difference between the current form of penetration of multinational corporations and Chinese. The U.S. and European companies expand beyond their countries under symbiotic model, ie in cooperation with the local labor, local suppliers and government of the country. Myself, like many other Spanish, accumulated over 35 long years of collaboration with multinationals in the U.S. and Germany. All my professional experience, the professionalization of the work, postgraduate training and professional experiences, what whites called "seniority", I owe it to these multinationals, in addition to my colleagues and partners within and outside them.

By contrast the Chinese companies only hire local staff when they are strictly necessary for reasons of language or commercial building confidence. The same goes for suppliers. And on the enforcement of laws and local taxation is little doubt. Namely, symbiotic relationship anything but rather stray from their low contribution to the local country.

There is therefore no pejorative connotations in this definition or commercially gimmicky, but a successful approach to biology that defines symbiosis as "association that takes advantage of common life" against parasitic as "a way to use as food for their own benefit".

And to prove it, not to understand, because no one understands where they get much money the Chinese, I invite you to view the attached document that describes the beginnings and the departure of some Chinese businessmen in Madrid and 10 Commandments for Chinese entrepreneurs. "He comes here with nothing and 10 years become millionaires ". "In just 3 year are business owners ". You are buying the tapas bars and homes difficult to sell to Spanish. I recently told a lawyer friend, specialist in real estate assets, only rented / sold to local Chinese restaurant or local. It is true that work tirelessly, but if a Spanish would apply the same methods, schedule, living, not crash into the existing regulations? Again I stress: them the practice is not objectionable, it is surprising that only they are allowed.

Do you know cases of unfair competition from Chinese companies in Europe?

Do you think China's expansion as a matter of short, the medium or long term?

Are the TOPs of Western policy, and most particularly European, personally affected by the abandonment

I agree with Michael in that generalizations are not good but that is only the surface of the subject, the real value is what the analysis of Chinese penetration in Europe following a macroeconomic strategy and under a business model against this knowing that Europe compete .
Each Zone, Country or Region is free to compete but also to be socially responsible and to require others what you yourself autoexiges avoiding competition and asymmetric.
thanks for these items Rafael, in my environment have generated reflection about, we are all concerned about the future of our children.

Thanks Luis for your points. That is the key. Requiring foreign origin products as well as demand for products “Made in EU”. It's what to do TOPs of member countries. And we go from consumers to CONSUMISABLES

The risk to take into account, normal when something is addressed from a broad perspective, is to oversimplify and put in a big bag “China” all Chinese alike.

In the video you link apparently only seen a lot of freelancers who undertake legal business and pay their taxes, as necessary now to support a state that probably we can afford neither in its present. The money used to start their business comes from family loans and wealth saved over many years of work in Spain. They are reluctant to leave their family circle because, as all immigrants, seek refuge in what is known to them (language, manners).
Except as withdrawing into their circle so wish we had many Spanish!

I'm not naive, I suspect that there are other much darker realities in parallel. But if you want to report something it is best to first and last name of the offender, to avoid generalizations and to allow it to defend. I recognize that it is the most complicated and demanding more research effort and as you see in that line in your later posts, encourage you to continue well.

    A greeting
    Miguel

      Hello Miguel,
Thanks for recognizing the effort not to generalize. Remember that in the end what I want is to analyze what aspects should be reviewed in the paradigms of management that we have sold in the past 20 years and, in part, have led us to this crisis we suffer. My previous articles are starting points to analyze whether certain practices should regenerate Management. And I think that in relations and trade with China and CSR values have gone up by a third on a wild growth ambition by Managers. That's where I'm going.

It's a short affair, the international economic situation is favorable. With so much uncertainty, are broken and all it forms. I think we live a new way “of war” world, is financially and end up with a new international order. Since the dead are counted by hundreds of thousands in business and people. Thanks Rafa, very good this series to keep the mind active in the summer.
