China. Three essential analysis

I took some time relaxing and reading several books that I really wanted to read. Among others I have been enjoying recently edited three books, highly recommended and you agree to make us reflect on the phenomenon of the awakening of China and its economic.

* Oranges from China July Arias, edited by Platform.  July describes his professional and social experiences for 10 years in China. How are businesses there, the implications for public bodies and authorities and the daily lives of citizens awaken to a new and different world, if not for all 1.300 million Chinese, yes for many of them.

* The Silenciosa Conquer China of John Paul and Heriberto Araujo Cardinal Editorial Review.  Two journalists who analyze in depth the historical change that lies ahead. They have traveled more than 20 developing countries where the Chinese are implementing a policy of expansion and conquest that is already having important economic consequences, social, environmental and geopolitical. China, in a few years has gone from buying copper in the Republic of Congo and Chile and minerals in Peru and Sudan to own mines. The same for natural gas of its neighbors from the north or in the Amazon of Ecuador. While, all these high-producing countries of strategic interest to China are being occupied by avalanches of Chinese immigrants. The authors analyze these events and reflect on the medium-term consequences of this silent conquest.

* Last, the phenomenal analysis of Professor Julián Pavón in his book China, The parasite ¿Dragon? Editorial Platform, where we bluntly warned the incredible power that China is taking to the abandonment of the Western World, and that is leading to a change of era of unpredictable consequences, because in a few years the most powerful country in the world dictatorial government will win the game to Western democratic world that lets you play, explains Pavón, with marked cards.

If you let me seduce you recommend the subject to begin with China Dragon ¿the parasite? It is essential reading for anyone who is interested in the impact of the Chinese phenomenon in the company, whether SMEs or multinational. Or who is interested in the Social Responsibility of Corporations or Companies (RSC, CSR), and the dragon / Chinese parasite falls flat on the current and future stakeholders with important consequences.

In the attached video, Julián Pavón summarizes the model we "Chinese Model Parasite": The Chinese believe Chinese companies, employing Chinese workers, to sell Chinese products manufactured by Chinese in China. The benefits of business in different countries join Chinese banks that increase foreign exchange reserves constantly, accumulating over the catualidad 3 billion USD in foreign currency, allowing you to buy companies in Africa and Latin America dedicated to strategic raw materials, and public debt of the countries in crisis.

Self-reflection:

What are the dangers for Western democracies the silent conquest of China?

Should Western countries reconsider its policy towards China?

And do companies? What about the citizens?

I wish we were just talking about improper deeds of the past! I think that you feel that a blog like yours is needed makes clear that the practices that put an end to the means are still the daily bread in the West as well as in East.

I'm not very optimistic in regard to what we can do, the inertia of what has been set in motion is tremendous, I do not think that this has to stop; lovingly care what still keeps us in a better position: our freedom of speech (which includes the consumer's right to be informed), education for our citizens to enable them to detect and reject head on corrupt practices and manipulative (duty to be informed) and to encourage them to fend for themselves and find achievable values and make them happier.
This is a responsibility we can not delegate it begins in each of us. In the example we gave to others about what we think is really important.

And the sensational headlines that include words such as derogatory “parasitic” may help attract many visitors to a video but did not seem a good starting point to educate people on the street in what is happening and how it should position themselves, in my league of economists stuck to communicators:
    Leopoldo Abbey 2 – Julian Pavón 0

    A greeting

I agree with you that citizens have in law and we should reach a duty to be knowledgeable to seek and find achievable values that make us happy.
And regarding Leopoldo vs. Julian, I am left with the two, different but both beautifully didactic.

  2. Miguel says:

I'll do the devil's advocate; although I do not like dictatorships, I do not like anything the easy insults towards the Chinese: “parasitic”, “unfair competition”… Just look at the past half-century of Western history and see that in our recent past we have gone through similar stages: economic colonization and exploitation of resources of poor countries in a way not always fair.

So you wrote the rules of the game and we felt very well just eating nonstop while we were worried what will happen in the Third World; Now taking the example we gave and learned to play better than we already do not like.

Why I have more right to a Chinese live a life of happy middle-class consumer? The answer is easy: I have not.
And if you think that is what I aspire, I will have to win me, but I fear that the va muy be hard because if we want to live at that level, there for all.

!Still! A little fuel to the fire.

    • Rafa says:

Perfect! That is the positive, the exchange of views.
But Michael, we can not justify this with improper deeds of the past.
The problem is not playing better than us. competition that would be. The problem is playing with marked cards, ie traps of various types. I'll explain further in a future post.
Anyway, do not know how glad I am back to talk with you, even at a distance and perhaps with different approaches.
Keep adding fuel to this fire. This is harmless.

  3. Marilo says:

Reflecting on the Chinese business model is something to take seriously, Professor Julian Pavon explained with straightforward language and real examples and bluntly warns of impact in the short, medium and long term, it is important to rigorously apply all applicable , regulations and certifications required of other national and international suppliers and that is something that once again depends on managers at all levels because they are the decision makers.
Not only is it worth the price; next to the price of a product or service is certified, normativas, regulations, support and corporate social responsibility, all of this implies a total value to consider is to go back and obviate . The question is accepted back ?
